Built by a Nurse

Who saw the Gaps

Comfort Home Care is proudly owned and led by Brandon Howes PMHNP-BC, a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who has spent decades caring for some of the most vulnerable patients. Brandon saw the need for more collaborative, compassionate, and specialized homecare. With little resources available for the mental health community after patients leave the care of a facility, he built this organization to do it differently.

We know the pain points because we’ve lived them.

We’ve stood beside people during difficult transitions home from the hospital.

We’ve heard the families asking for more support to help their loved one stay independent.

We’ve seen how a lack of psychiatric expertise in traditional home health care leads to cycles of relapse, re-hospitalization, and exhaustion, for everyone involved.

Here's what we've witnessed:

When care isn’t specific, consistent, and human, it can be harmful.

Medications get missed.
Communication breaks down.

Families burn out.

Patients get lost in the shuffle.

This isn't just care, it's commitment.

We understand the whole person, the bigger picture, and the emotional weight that comes with every visit.

That’s what we do.

This isn’t just care, it’s commitment.

What Sets Comfort Home Care Apart

Comfort Home Care was built specifically to support patients with psychiatric and complex mental health needs in the home setting and we do it with clinical precision, accountability, and heart.

Accredited by The Joint Commission

We’re the only home health agency in Massachusetts with this distinction that cares specifically for patients with mental health needs. It means we meet the highest standards of safety, care quality, and accountability.

Certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

We’re insured, and compliant with all state and federal regulations, with a Registered Nurse on call 24/7 for patients, families, and partners.

Certified by the Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts.

We don’t just follow best practices, we help shape them, alongside other trusted leaders in the field.

Rooted in Massachusetts. Focused on community care.

We serve patients across the state with local teams who know the regions they support and who stay connected beyond the visit.

We reduce preventable hospitalizations.

Our 30-day re-hospitalization rate is consistently beating the national average. When care is specialized and consistent, outcomes improve.

None of this is possible without the best of the best.
