Comfort Home Care’s Kate Cook Named 2016 Unsung Heroine
Work with Foster Kids of the Merrimack Valley Recognized
(BOSTON) –Kate Cook, has been named one of 2016’s “Unsung Heroines” by the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women, in honor of her contributions to the Merrimack Valley.
The Unsung Heroine initiative identifies and honors extraordinary women from across the Commonwealth. Cook was nominated for the recognition by State Representative Diana DiZoglio (D-Methuen), who joined the recipient for a celebration in her honor at the Massachusetts State House.
“Kate has worked with me on empowering young women across the region by assisting in the organization of programs that inspire, encourage and motivate them to achieve their highest goals,” said DiZoglio. “Her work with Foster Kids of the Merrimack Valley has been nothing less than extraordinary. Kate is a person who uses her time, talent and enthusiasm to enrich the lives of others and make a positive and lasting difference in our community.”
Cook serves as Director of Sales and Marketing with Comfort Home Care, a visiting nursing agency in Methuen, and is a member of the Board of Directors of Foster Kids of the Merrimack Valley.
