Best of Home Health Care Honored at Awards Event
Association Recognizes Home Care Agency Innovators and Exemplary Staff
Boston, MA – The commitment and compassion of the state’s home care industry was on display at the annual Home Care Alliance Innovation Showcase and Star Awards where ten individuals and three home health agency programs were honored for their role in keeping people independent and healthy at home.
“This event is a chance to say thank you to all home care employees through the awards to these individuals who are the shining examples of a very dedicated workforce that is often unheard, but makes an incalculable impact,” said Home Care Alliance Executive Director Patricia Kelleher.
The annual event is a chance to honor and recognize the individuals and organizations from across the state that are providing the best care and utilizing the best and most innovative practices in home care. This year’s event was held at Granite Links Country Club in Quincy with a mix of keynote speakers and a celebration of all levels of staff at a home care organization.
Individual awardees include:
• Home Health Care Clinicians of the Year:
o Anne Luippold, RN, BSN, ONC – Hospice Clinical Director, Salmon VNA & Hospice, Milford, MA
o Michelle Michaud, RN – Nurse, Circle Home Care, Lowell, MA
o Mary NDegwa, RN – Nurse Case Manager, Comfort Home Care, Methuen, MA
• Home Health Care Manager of the Year: Darlene Connolly – Clinical Manager, Steward Home Care, Westwood, MA
• Home Health Physician of the Year: Dr. David Green – Physician, Emerson Hospital Home Care, Concord, MA
• Legislator of the Year: State Senator Barbara L’Italien (D-Andover)
• Home Care Champion: Meg Doherty – CEO, NVNA & Hospice, Norwell, MA
• Leadership & Collaboration Award: Roxanna Harper & Joann Wagner – Clinical Managers, Baystate VNA & Hospice, Palmer and Ware, MA
